Dimensional Eye is Presenting VLS at AOG Perth 2015

Arnauld Dumont (President, Dimensional Eye.) will be presenting at the Australian Oil and Gas Exhibition and Conference on Wednesday March 11, 2015.

The title of the presentation is: VLS: A Video Revolution in Subsea 3D Survey

The accepted Abstract for the Presentation can be found below:

Subsea Survey increasingly requires more 3D information in order to improve analysis and make better decisions. New developments in the field of Photogrammetry and Laser Technologies pioneered by Dimensional Eye., based upon image processing algorithms and the use of subsea cameras and lasers have considerably increased the efficiency of such techniques. Flying with the ROV and recording HD video of the equipment to be modeled with the VLS Sensor is all that is required. With these basic requirements high accuracy measurements and as-built CAD Modeling are currently being achieved subsea. Real-time 3D modeling is on the horizon.
In this paper we will present the technology used and the revolutionary development that has been successfully implemented subsea for some typical case studies (modeling of a pipe dent, spool metrology, mooring chain and flex joint periodical inspection).

See you in Perth!
